About Anna

Anna is a senior environmental and local government lawyer advising private clients, local authorities and public sector organisations on planning, regulatory and public law matters. She provides strategic advice, regulatory support and dispute resolution services across a broad range of environmental and local government issues.

Her work encompasses resource management, local government, environmental compliance and enforcement, public works and dispute resolution. She advises clients on resource consent applications and appeals, plan changes, environmental due diligence, infrastructure and development projects, official information and related property matters.

Anna has experience acting for both private clients and councils in council hearings and proceedings before the Environment Court and High Court, including resource consent appeals, judicial review proceedings, enforcement matters, prosecutions and mediations. Her experience spans a diverse range of sectors, including residential and commercial development, quarrying, forestry, rural industry and contaminated land.

Anna is known for her considered approach and her ability to distil complex legislative and regulatory issues into clear, practical advice. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients to develop strategic solutions and to navigate complex planning and environmental issues with confidence.

Anna holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Otago and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2006.
